Why I’m running
Thank you for taking the time to connect with me! I am running to put the focus back on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) studies for every student’s success. I believe we need to protect the students from hidden political agendas regarding race, gender and sex. I also believe that parents should always be the first educators for children in these social education matters.
My family and I have been residents in Mississauga Ward 6 for the last 23 years. My sons attended elementary and high schools in the area and excelled in the Army Cadet program at the 105 Squadron in Streetsville. We love this city and I have always had a passion for youth empowerment. I work as an executive assistant in a global technology consulting company and have a background in Toastmasters, a public speaking non-profit organization. I am also a licensed Maxwell Leadership Speaker, Trainer and Coach as well as a Parenting and Family Certified Counsellor. I regularly organize youth workshops on communication and leadership. I’ve spent most of my career working as an Executive Assistant and Office Manager, in order to ensure that I maintain a healthy work life balance in order to take care of my family.
I am alarmed to see the great shift between what kids need to be taught in schools and what they are actually taught to focus on, namely race, sexual orientation and gender identity, all at a truly young and immature age. I believe Public Education should focus on real education and life skills that matter to all students’ success, especially in relation to their higher education and career goals.
